Shinhwa Motor America announced last week that it will expand its manufacturing operations in Auburn, Alabama by adding high-pressure aluminum die-casting and related post-processing. This huge investment will enhance Mythology’s capabilities in Auburn while maintaining its commitment to highly automated, technology-driven manufacturing.

The Mayor of Auburn, Ron Anders (Ron Anders) said: "Mythology is an important addition to Auburn's high-tech manufacturing base because they chose Auburn as their first factory in the United States in 2019." We are very pleased that they have decided to invest another US$70 million in the next two years and create approximately 48 jobs. This is just another example of the impact of a strong and diversified industrial base on our local economy now and in the years to come."

Shinhwa was established in 1995 in Changwon, South Korea. The company focuses on achieving a high degree of automation and improvement in areas with high technical challenges, providing important value to its customers in the automotive industry.

Daejin Park, President of Shinhwa American Motors, said: “The increase in high pressure die casting capabilities will allow us to provide more Alabama-manufactured components to our customer base. Thanks to the supportive environment we have experienced in Auburn, we can continue to grow and grow. Invest with confidence."
