Provertha's Flexlock is a new patented locking system suitable for D-Sub all-metal hoods. Users can now freely choose several different locking systems for the D-Sub hood series according to application requirements. The patented double locking system provides a traditional screw locking mechanism with knurled screws, combination grooves and an Allen key, as well as an innovative Quick Lock push-pull locking system. In addition, there are other locking options: sliding locks and locking systems with insertable nuts for cable-to-cable connections.

With the new cover, the company provides users with a D-Sub system for highly flexible locking at device interfaces and "loose" cables or cable connections. The zinc die-cast housing is suitable for very harsh conditions in industrial automation and control cabinet structures where the temperature is between -55C and 90C. The nickel-plated surface provides an attractive visual appearance for applications that require aesthetics.

With the help of the locking system, the shock- and vibration-proof D-Sub fasteners according to EN 61373 require no auxiliary tools and can be operated in a few seconds with one hand. Sound and tactile feedback ensure a safe lock. Therefore, assembly can be performed faster than standard screws and sliding locking systems. The existing D-Sub unit interface can be easily converted into a low-cost locking pin set to help lock the Quick Lock cover. To this end, a variety of locking pin versions are available.

The fresh air hood is provided as a separately packaged kit, which can be assembled directly on site. However, they can also be used in bulk packaging for a large number of cable assemblies.
