This 1977 Dodge Tradesman B200, currently up for auction in Washington, proves that vans can be cool.

Obviously, some significant modifications have been made to the Dodge van since it first left the factory. For example, it has been repainted in a bright shade of yellow and sports a distinctive bodykit with a front lip spoiler, an integrated rear bumper, flared arches, and a chrome front bumper. Making the exterior stand out even further is a roof-mounted wing, barn-style rear and side doors, side pipes, and oval-shaped side windows. A set of polished chrome Pacer five-spoke wheels tie everything together.

As striking as the exterior is, however, it is the cabin of this Tradesman B200 that is really quite extraordinary. Upfront, you’ll find swiveling captain’s chairs clad in beige vinyl with brown quilted fabric inserts and yellow stitching. There is also quilted beige vinyl across the engine access panel, brown carpet, a black metal dashboard, and various wooden accents.

The rear of the van more closely resembles a nightclub than a typical Tradesman. Most notably, there is a large double bed back there, quilted soft-touch vinyl across the headliner and walls, curtains, drinks storage, a small fridge, a TV, and an area to hold champagne classes.

The Bring a Trailer listing notes that the Dodge is driven by a 360 cubic-inch V8 with an Edelbrock carburetor and an aluminum radiator. The odometer reads 29,000 miles (~46,700 km) but the vehicle’s true mileage is unknown.
