The Challenge: 10 Duos That Should Have Been On Ride Or Dies, According To Reddit

Some teams felt like they were missing from The Challenge: Ride or Dies, so Reddit suggests who should have made the cast.

With the official Challenge: Ride or Dies cast announcement ahead of the season’s premiere in October, some staple figures of The Challenge weren’t announced, and some new faces will be introduced this season. While many Ride or Dies teams seem to be friends, that is not the case for all.

This leaves room for some rivalries to enter the scene, ensuring there will be some drama and ridiculous entertainment in the season. This got fans on Reddit thinking about which competitors they would have preferred to see on teams together this season over some of the official cast.

In a season of ride-or-die teams, it feels slightly off not seeing this couple. However, they are competitors that some never want to see again, and with such strong audience opinion, it’s a tough call.

One Redditor balances both sides of the argument best, saying, “Paulie and Cara not being on this season sucks. I don’t like them as people, but I sure do love the entertainment value.” If it were solely a question of entertainment and athleticism, it would be easier for more to agree they should’ve had a place on the season.

As far as Survivor players who should be on The Challenge go, Natalie deserves another chance after her medical disqualification, and some fans were quick to point out Jeremy would be a great teammate.

One Redditor says the two “would be a great pair. [but they] will probably get some heat for both being million $ winners and looking like big physical threats.” With Survivor champions on the same team, they would pose a major threat in the house, especially after seeing how well Natalie’s skills transferred in her short time on Double Agents.

After beginning a beautiful friendship on Love Island and having competed in some of the best Love Island challenges together, this team would be in for something completely different with The Challenge.

However, given Justine’s performance in Challenge USA, making her the only Love Island contestant to make it to the final, she and Calvin would have solid experience for the main series. Having been friends since their season of Love Island, one Redditor sees the vision with this team on The Challenge, saying, “Justine and Calvin I am HERE FOR.”

While it’s been a minute since either of these competitors set foot in a Challenge house, some believe they would have been a strong team that could have been fun to see compete together in a season structured like Ride or Dies.

Nattyb says, “Tony and Nicole is a pair I wouldn't have thought about, but I dig it!” Having been friends since Real World: Skeletons, Nicole and Tony could have had a chance to reignite their passion for The Challenge, possibly winning the season if they didn’t get in their own way with social game aspects.

With the cast announced, many Challenge fans noticed the absence of Wes. The man who plays the game not because he needs to win money but because he loves the game. Some will miss his presence, while others tried to figure out possible teams he could have if he had made the cut.

If Wes had been on this season, R0nd9 says, his partner options would have been limited, given his limited close friendships on-screen with women. But they believed KellyAnne would have been one of the only women “that could be his partner that isn't a stretch.”

Kyle earned his place as one of the most dominant players, according to his elimination record of 7-6. And Big T earned every win she ever got on The Challenge, much to the surprise of others who constantly underestimated her in competition.

Wait_why_ thinks “Kyle and Big T Would be fun entertainment value.” While both of them are strong competitors in their own way, their social game is entirely unpredictable as individuals. With Big T and Kyle together, nobody would be able to be sure of their next move in the game.

The thought of this team together for a season brought a lot of discussions, mainly because people couldn’t tell whether they were friends now or still rivals. Overwhelmingly, Challenge fans just thought it would be entertaining to see Brad and Marie navigate the competition together.

ShaqinKazaam says Brad and Marie should have been cast for the “‘die’ part of the Ride or Die theme,” especially considering their pizza argument from Vendettas. In one of the most ridiculous arguments ever on The Challenge, Brad accused Marie of taking too much pizza for herself, setting up a perfect rivalry.

After faring well on Survivor, ex-NFL player, Danny headed to The Challenge USA, where he further proved himself when he was the only man to finish the final. Aside from his physical ability and his social game, Danny established himself as an extremely likable player.

It was impossible not to admire how he highly talked about his wife, Kiki. His constant confessionals about Kiki and what she would think of their most recent challenge made Challenge fans want to see her on the show. This lead Quagsirechannel to wish “Kiki and Danny (Kiki’s Husband)” were on this season.

NikJay6 knows that Tyson and Angela “aren’t realistic” since they’d only just started working together on Challenge USA, which had wrapped filming right before Ride or Dies, but they still “would have like to see [them] on the upcoming season.”

It’s hard to argue these two wouldn’t be a great team after Angela and Tyson ran the Challenge USA house since the first week of the competition. These two were clearly each other’s number one in the game, making them a real force to be reckoned with and leaving fans hoping to see them together again in the future.

Challenge fans will never truly stop cheering for Leroy, especially considering how likable and loyal he was in the game. And retiring without a win after such a solid career is something fans never wished for him.

Kam and him, even when they weren’t partners in the house, seemed to run the game and them officially working together and playing on the same team may have been unstoppable. Among the many wishes for Leroy and Kam to reappear, Tdog504 says, “I’m glad Leroy and Kam had that baby, but I wish this was the format for Leroy’s last season.”
