Following in the footsteps of automakers, Tesla suppliers are buying large casting machines.

Tesla's 6,000-ton Giga Press for Model Y and 8,000-ton Giga Press for Cybertruck have become a prominent topic in the electric vehicle community. Tesla's suppliers in China also seem to have been paying close attention.

Tesla and NIO supplier Viken ordered 7 die-casting machines from Lijin Technology last month, mainly producing hot-chamber die-casting machines, cold die-casting machines, injection molding machines, and magnesium alloy die-casting machines for the automobile and motorcycle industries. .

According to the information shared by the Tesla owner @Ray4Tesla, Wecan ordered two 6k-ton die-casting machines, three 4.5k-ton die-casting machines, one 3K-ton die-casting machine and one 2.8k-ton die-casting machine. Another Tesla supplier Xusheng ordered a 44,000-ton die-casting machine.

IDK is China's major supplier of automotive aluminum casting parts and will also enter the game by ordering Giga Presses (2800T and 4400T). Tesla is leading the revolution in automobile manufacturing. @elonmusk

Other Chinese companies focusing on die casting products are also seeking to enter the growing market for large die casting machines, such as Tesla Giga Press from IDRA. For example, Akodi, a manufacturer of high-precision aluminum die-casting products, plans to concentrate its financial and human resources on the development of 2,800 to 44,000-ton die-casting machines.
